Yes!! We do the sandwich too. It's definitely helped. We just need some practice like @anyae23 said lol. @yanald90 my husband has to help me too. Our son is such a squirmy wormy and his hands are always in the way lol.

When I struggled I was shown a technique:first hold breast as if you are trying to fit into his mouth "sandwich like form. As if he is biting into a sandwich. Then on top of that after you get any kind of latch you "flick his bottom lip out----so it kind of roll open like a "duck" and in turn covers most of the nipple. Message me if interested/confused for more info. It still took a lot of work and actually my BF was doing that for me!! Lol yeah it was team effort.

It may sound a bit rough but try pinching his cheeks a little to hold his mouth open and place your breast in his mouth to where you need it to be.
