I started mine at 6 months because he wanted too. He was walking by 81/2 months.

Did you do the walker that had him in it or the walk behind that he pushes? @2queenbee9

it was a dinosaur. he could push it and walk behind it or ride it. I had to put rubber bands on the wheels to slow it down but he loved it

Yeah. we had wood floors too but carpet in his bedroom. Just gotta walk with him if he wants to go but he loved it

I bought my daughter a Walker, used it twice but I decided that it would probably hurt her more than help her how to walk.. Good thing my daughter started walking way before 12 months.. Walkers are not recommended.

@francisca88 thats the point of supervision. .. you walk behind them and follow them where ever they are going,

@francisca88, I've heard that you should put them in the other walkers because they are sitting and it doesn't really teach them to walk, but I've never heard bad things from the walk behind. I would never leave him unattended with it. I don't even care if he walks early. He will do things at his own pace, but I know he loves to stand and walk around holding my fingers, so I thought a walker may be good for him if he was the right age

Well that's the problem people will leave their child unattended.. And also a child can't see their feet while in the Walker and they push with their chest.. And when they decided to take those first steps without the Walker that's how they think it should be done by push with their chest.. @kiaaaaj @jaxmomma. But anyway that's the reason I didn't allow my daughter to be in the Walker.. And yeah she loved being in the Walker but I felt as if it would not be much help to her.
