I felt the same way while I was pregnant. My baby was safe in there, I knew I could protect him. Not only that but I loved being pregnant in general. I think all new moms go through the same thoughts

I lost my daughter last November at 3.5 weeks old to SIDS. Wasn't anything we did wrong. we actually did everything they tell you. she had a cold and choked in her sleep. blocked air way from probably mucus. I then got pregnant 3 months pp. And I'm going through it. @emkasting so I'm not necessarily a new mom, I'm just scared and feel like I can't be a good mother or protect my kids. Just one of those things I'm having to process. I'm also due two days before her first birthday. October 7th, her bday is October 9th. So it's a little more than just new mommy syndrome :(

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. I can't imagine what you went through..what you're still going through. Congrats on your pregnancy though I'm sure that was really exciting for you. I just meant new mom like with a new baby, not necessarily first time mom. I understand why you would feel like you can't protect your kids but I promise you that's not the case. The fact that you're so worried about it makes you a great mother. Are you expecting another girl?
