Baby wearing month is coming up and we would love your advice for a new blog article 😁What are your best baby wearing tips for new moms? Please reply in the comments below.
I have a JJ Cole Agility wrap and I love it. Practice at home then when you get comfortable enough take it out for a try. If your uncertain the product's website should have videos to show you how it works.
COMFORT, COMFORT, COMFORT!! I'd definitely suggest getting one that goes with your lifestyle, what's most comfortable not only for the baby, but for you as well. You're the one having to do all the "hard" work, after all ;).
Baby carrying is an ancient form of bonding and staying close to baby. It transcends cultures! I always make sure baby's knees are parallel to their tummy for correct hip positioning. This is one reason why I love my moby wrap! Also, I can get things done around the house, have more room in shopping carts during grocery shopping, and if I have to use public transportation, I don't have to worry about a bulky stroller because we all know some people on public transportation will watch you struggle with a stroller instead of asking to help you out. Besides, baby wearing provides security for baby and allows them to pick up on language and facial expressions better! 😊
Much easier to walk dogs with your baby in a carrier!! I have two Labrador retrievers and i tried to walk them with the baby in the stroller. Disaster. They each wanted to go their own way and got tangled in the stroller quite often. Now I wear my daughter and walking them is a breeze!!!!! I have a baby Bjorn and love it. I know this is very specific advice for a very small audience, but someone out there could use it!
Try out carriers to see what you like you can find baby carriers in any price range but if you plan on long term baby wearing some time you might want more expensive ones. I usually do ring sling with newborns then wraps or ssc( ergo, Tula, lulls any)
I spent months trying to figure out how to go about baby wearing while being pregnant with my fourth! I was constantly online going over reviews on this one and that one and yes they are expensive! My fear was buying the wrong one, for my baby and I with them costing so much, I began getting so frustrated I almost gave up, then whilst my Husband and I were out doing last minute before baby arrives shopping he pointed out an Infantino baby carrier for 30.00, I'd never heard of the brand or read reviews on it but I thought to myself! I've got to start somewhere!!!! & that's exact what I did! & boy am I glad!!!! My point is, although the reviews are great! They aren't you and your baby, no need to jump into buying something fancy and expensive, start small and go from there & from there your baby wearing experience can grow and you and your baby will love it!
you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a good baby wrap. you can make your own for less than 10$ and also get some really nice ones from amazon.
I love baby wearing! It allows you to get so much done! I have the baby bjorn and I love it! It's quick, it's simple , and it doesn't pinch my babies chunky thighs !
Learning to breastfeed in the wrap was the best thing I've ever done! (YouTube shows you many ways) I have the Moby(3 of them) wrap and I love them! One in each car and one in the diaper bag! I go nowhere without it! I love feeling so close to baby as well!
YouTube videos will help you learn, whether you're going for a wrap or carrier. I like my ergo but it's hard to nurse in. Baby wearing is the way to go though!!! I wish I knew that with my first son.
