Has anyone's children ever had chicken pox that is a mild case ie few spots. I'm not immune and my daughter has been unwell this week, runny nose crying and mild cough but nothing major. On Tuesday I noticed one fluid filled spot on her leg and panicked but didn't notice more. Till tonight she has four on her legs now and at nursery today she slept all afternoon and didn't eat. I've attached a pic of the first spot which is still red today but burst and scabbed over. She's never spotty and all mine have had it bar her, and were covered. But I'm not immune so I'll have to go in tomorrow for immunoglobulin injections .......anyone?

Thanks for that I've never seen a mild case and in herself I've seen her more Unwell with other things so im not concerned so much about her being ill but if I miss it is in fact chicken pox and don't get myself treated. I've managed to avoid the immunoglobulin the last two pregnancies but my midwife warned me at the beginning id need to go in if I was in contact. Trust me to not be immune! I only found out when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I have had it as a child but either failed to build adequate immunity or I have lost my immunity due to a weak response which is rare. My anti body titre was so low they weren't even sure if I had been infected previously. But I do have pox scars from it. I'll be ringing maternity in the morning if im unsure still and get my butt in.

Yeah I'll phone in the morning when I can get someone here with the children. It's typical they bring my labour date forward and I may have been in contact with this. :(

I've never had chicken poxs....So it was also a worry when I was pregnant..especially getting onto buses with school kids! My younger sister had it twice...and my friend and her siblings had it...and I was around them (when I was younger) still didn't get it. Xxx
