If he left he's not interested in being a family. He needs to grow up. Maybe reach out to him and ask him if he wants to try, but if he says no or doesn't respond, then let it go. You can't force people to change.

the only thing you can do is ask if he wants to try and if not than i think its best to move on and focus on your child, it may be better for the two of you in the long run. if he does want to try, go for it and i wish you guys the best of luck. @emiliabrady13
