Please someone tell me why my son at every meal time feels the need to gag himself with his fingers. Literally stuffs them down his throat! I have to consistently fight him. He does it to the point he will puke (yeah tried the ignore it technique). It's not like he's trying to feed himself more food and does it. Meal times go very smooth until he does this!

It's a control thing. My cousin did the same.

@abeljames2015, I let him feed himself. But you're probably right. I think he may do it to get out his high chair. Did your cousin out grow it or were they able to stop the behavior?

They let him feed himself too; he grew out of it. In control I mean like in control of his bodily functions. Some kids will hold their poop in or even refuse to eat.

@abeljames2015, he started this around 8 months and now he's almost a year old 😞. He's also super aware of whenever he has to use the bathroom. Like he stops playing every time he has to pee or poop.
