suction his nose out anyway but use saline solution to loosen the mucus ....rub vick vapor rub for babies on him they also have vick vapor mist for vaporizers it will sooth him he crying because he uncomfortable.

@ashleymonae I has done the first 2 even tho he screams when suctioning his nose. I am now in the room with the Vicks vaporizer and he is asleep. Sometimes he'll make a face like he's swallowing mucus but he's not waking up. I'm gonna have to start sleeping in a separate room to have the vaporizer ok.

Did they check him for an ear infection? An way infection can pop up overnight. When my nose is stuffy I always get an ear infection and it hurts to swallow.

My son has had it too. It's just bothering him like any person but wants his momma for comfort. Ibuprofen? Also putting Vicks on their feet helps a lot

I literally just went through the exact same thing with my son. I did everything possible to relieve any discomfort; suctioning his nose with saline every few hours and before he ate/ went to bed, vapor baths, humidifier with frankincense, vapor rub in his chest and feet, inclined the head of our bed, sat in the bathroom with a hot shower running so that the steam might clear him up. Unfortunately it took 5 weeks for him to really start feeling better and clearing up. We went to the ER in the beginning and they used a high power suction, and then after multiple trips to his pedi she gave us a nebulizer, so I just finished giving him breathing treatments earlier this week, and I guess that finally took care of whatever was wrong. If it seems like your baby has trouble breathing when they're trying to eat/ sleep/ or ever suck on a pacifier then try your best to continue with the suction and saline. My son hated it too, but they will feel much better afterwards and be able to breathe.

@babyjjsmommy I just came to the ER because I thought something terrible was wrong, and the doctor here just prescribed a steroid, and to keep taking his amoxicillin. I've done everything like you did too. I'm also sick so it doesn't help. I went to his doctor on Tuesday and he said everything was fine, but the past 2 nights it's been sleepless.

He was on the steroid first too, didn't seem to help him much but I hope it helps your little one! And I got sick too, literally you sound like you're in the exact same situation I was that's crazy, lol. I hope you both get better though!

@babyjjsmommy was your son any different on the steroid? My son is only going to take 0.5 of prelone a day. I know :( it sucks. I'm exhausted beyond measure. I went yesterday to the doctor and they told me my ear membrane was super inflamed :((

He seemed to have a lot more energy, the steroid definitely led to a few sleepless nights while he was on it. A few weeks later she put him on azithromycin and that helped him rest.

@babyjjsmommy I don't think he needs more energy. If anything we both need sleep! I just gave him the medicine. It's only for 4 days. Hopefully I get rest!

Yeah that's what I meant is the steroid gave him more energy, which sucked. His was only for 3 days.
