How do you get your newborn to sleep at night?? My babe will not go to sleep until around 330am. He sleeps a lot during the day but my gosh I can't keep staying up this late I'm exhausted and need some advice or tricks to get him to sleep earlier

Honestly it takes time mama they have to get adjusted to our schedule and since he's a newborn he'll go through a lot of sleep regression and growth spurts. What you can try to do it keep him up for during the day, try to have him up early but since he's so young he's going to sleep a ton so it'll be hard at first to keep him awake but try as much as you can the first few months are tough but it gets better my daughter was sleeping through the night at about 3 months and befor that she didn't sleep until about five am every morning and would sleep all day it was terrible then I got her up super early one day and kept her up and ever since then she's asleep by 9 and up around 7-9 am. You got this mama I know it's hard and easier said than done but sleep when baby sleeps!

I would give my twins a nice bath and then a warm bottle it helps through sleep all night well it did when they was like first born and sometimes now it helps @jessicasnelson

Oh yes I didn't even mention baths! You could do that (unless his umbilical cord hasn't fallen off yet) but that could help or maybe take a walk? It'll get better mama 🙂

my daughter usually wakes up every 2 to 3 hours to eat (shes breast fed) but a nice warm bath with lavender puts her to sleep (she will be 4 weeks Tuesday)

the first week in a half mine would do the same thing. the other night and the night before she slept from like midnight on, only waking once. last night she was up every few hours to eat. I think it just takes a while to get them on our schedule. I'm exhausted too!! all she wants to do is eat every 30 minute to an hour!! lol

It takes time to figure out their days and nights. Just come up with your own routine and do the same thing every night to help baby learn bed time. For example, every night at 10 do a bath and feed. Try not to do anything over stimulating like playing/talking a lot so that baby knows it's time for bed and not play. They catch on pretty quickly! I promise it gets better mama just stay consistent and don't give up! 😘
