You don't know heartbroken until your little one gets hurt & there's nothing you can do to take his pain away! My 2 year old got his thumb caught in the recliner & now it's all red & swollen & he's crying. I really hope it's not broken! My heart is just breaking for him... I think I've cried just as much as he has 😭💔

@junesmommy_15, We're waiting a little while. He's fine now, dancing to bubble guppies & running around playing. Gonna keep an eye on it if it gets worse we'll take him

@neikadre, Gave him Motrin & swelling is going down & he's acting fine now. Going to keep an eye on it, if it gets worse I'll take him

Yeah it probably is ok. I just thought you were totally scared. Yep I'd definitely keep an eye out. A lot of children won't say much when something is broken. We have to watch to notice.

@junesmommy_15, yeah if it gets anymore swollen or if it's still hurting him I'll definitely take him. I think it's just a sprain though, plus the metal on the recliner brackets cut the skin a little bit so that's probably making the pain worse

I'd put an ice pack on it for a little bit and just watch it :) kids are pretty tough! i had to dig some gravel out of my son's knee tonight actually lol, rest easy it does get easier! especially with a son

@mamacodi_09n16, He's fine now! Such a trooper 😊 I imagine it will get easier because boys will be boys lol, but this was he first actual injury other than falling off something & crying for 2 seconds, plus I'm hormonal so I think I was more upset than he was! 😂
