No offense to anyone that is religious, but I HATE when in talking to someone about my problems and their response is "pray about it, turn to God/Jesus" like seriously? I don't think God has given a damn about me since the day I was born. I was born to a drug addicted alcoholic who let my sister be sexually abused at the age of 4 and didn't take care of me. Ended up in the hospital at 6 months because she left me in a car. Got put in to the broken ass foster care system where I was physically abused multiple times by foster parents. Got put back into the broken ass foster system when I was 10 and once again was physically abused but by another foster kid in the home. And just been through trial after trial. And where has god been? Cuz I ain't seen him or felt his presence. I've been praying since I was 10 and I still haven't found the peace I've been looking for. So please, wtf is praying gonna do for me if it's never done anything before? Why does that have to be the answer for almost ALL Christians? "Pray about it". How about giving some actual advice???

Maybe they don't know any better. Personally I refrain...but there's times when all I can think of is, pray. I don't like to give advice much because what works for me might kill the next, and some people have problems that require more than my lil' experience. 😔 I see where it could be offensive to you though, and I'm really sorry it's happening.

I try not to get offended because I was raised by Christians but that's part of the issue. Any time I try and talk to my parents about issues I'm having to get advice THATS their advice 99% of the time!!! Like I need actual advice sometimes and you'd think my parents of all people would be able to offer it to me. Even when I was in middle school/high school and wanted to be put in counseling my parents wouldn't let me and would tell me let god handle it. Well in the words of madea, sometimes he takes a little too long! @tayek

@harleyquinn420, that's a cop-out move sometimes!!! 😔 A lot of times it IS offensive when you need some guidance and they don't give it.

I dont think they know what else to say, its there go to...I never tell people that, even tho I believe I feel we have to fix our own issues and live thru are own instincts.
