Hey ladies anyone know if u will have another scan or is it just 2 and that's it? I've had a healthy pregnancy so far but I'm just wondering how they will be able to tell if my placenta has moved at all and estimate baby's weight.

I was told from my first scan at 12 weeks that placenta is at the front... I then had my 20 week scan. and that's it. they've not mentioned about my placenta since and have classed me as low risk so not been back for any other scans.
only scan I have to have is 6 weeks after my baby is born as they spotted a cyst in me x

they should have put on your 20weeks scan print out in your notes where your placenta is @samhappy x

@samhappy, my placenta was also at the front on my 20 week scan and I'm also low risk. Just worried me that they won't check anymore apart from the gp n midwives appointment x

sorry yes. both my 12 and 20 week scan says it's anterior on my notes. but they've not mentioned anything since then x not had any other appointments at hospital. just my midwife aps x

If your placenta is anterior it won't be anywhere different. There normal to be posterior or anterior they only get concerned if it covers the OS

it's usually just 12 and 20 but in my area they have just brought in a 36 week scan so I would find out xx
