It really pisses me off when people get on here bitching about people trying to induce themselves at 38+ weeks even when their doctor says it's fine. Excuse me, but unless you have MD, DO, DNP or CNP behind your name it's none of your fucking business. A doctor isn't going to let someone try to induce labor if they don't feel the baby is ready. People get on here thinking they're medical professionals because A, they've been pregnant before. Or B, they can use google. Get the hell outta here. ✋🏻

I'm sorry but my baby is looking to be a giant, so bet your ass when I get 38 weeks as long as my doctor says it's okay I'm gonna be doing everything in my power to get him out. That's if she doesn't induce me herself. @liambabyhosey

We say something about self inducing because it's not safe, even my dr who has owned and worked at her own practice since '83 urged me to not try and self induce so I didn't. Idgaf if someone wants to hear it or not, I'd rather say something then someone have an unhealthy baby because they were uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable is part of pregnancy and if your not willing to let your baby stay in the recommended medical time for pregnancy you don't need to get pregnant.

Well, every doctor has their own opinion, & experiences. You can't judge someone for listening to them. I know plenty of babies born at 38 weeks who are perfectly healthy and at least 8 pounds. It's no ones place to tell a mother what to do during her pregnancy besides her medical professionals.

My Dr gave me a Membrane sweep with my daughter when I was 38 weeks and Day 3 to give her a little push to come out because I was scared of going over 40 weeks... and my daughter came at 38 weeks Day 5...Perfectly Healthy weighing at 7lbs & 2oz, she's now 2 years old and never gets sick unless she plays with kids who are... I am now expecting a baby boy and am wanting to do the same thing just to give him a little push when the time is right. No one who isn't my doctor should tell me what to do with my child.... 🤔🙄
