Can i take my 11 month old off formula and give her whole milk in her bottles? I don't have any money to buy it. And Im not going back to wic. 🙁
I took my son off of formula when he was 11 months (we were just supposed to transition to milk) he had no issue with it and he's healthy.
If you have any formula left do every other bottle whole milk- that's how we transitioned my son his ped said to do it that way. If not i would just do the water thing. As long as he doesn't have a sensitive tummy it should be fine. He may not like the taste of it though so may have to get used to that
Most formulas are cow milk based so she should be fine & it's not really transitioning.
That's what we had to do for the same reasons, like @jadasmommy said, dilute it and introduce it slowly to make sure there's no problems.
I'd buy one can and start slowly because cows milk can be tough. maybe her pediatrician can give you a sample can
completely understand. I know many people who do it here. I live in a very secluded area that's pretty old fashioned so these types of things are just normal around here. same with home births haha
No I havent That is a little weird for me lol I dont know where to get any either @showersoverflowers
I know this might be weird for you but have you considered donor milk for a short period of time to help transition your LO to cows milk?
You can also see if there are any pregnancy resource centers near you like birthright. They usually have a lot of donated formula and diapers and stuff. Talk to pediatrician about making the transition easier.
