Utah is really nice well were I live it's really calm

Well to be honest with everyone moving here to Portland the housing market has sky rocketed and traffic is outrageous. Of course we have lots of restaurants and distilleries and brewery's. But I can't stand how over crowded it has become in he last two years.

@dalehe86, how much is housing?I'm used to it being crowded and lots of traffic being from san Francisco and silicon valley.It's not always great but doable,but everything is expensive there so it makes things worse

We were talking to a neighbor the other day and they are paying for a one bedroom apartment for about $1300 right now. About 700-800 sq ft. That's about the same price as you used to be able to pay for renting a 4 bedroom house. We're hoping the market goes down within the next year. But who knows.

To me that's not too bad,I think because I'm from california,and it makes me thankful in a way so I can be even more thankful for cheaper states.The apartment we have now is a 1 bedroom for $1200,and we moved to this one from a 1 bedroom that cost $600,but our complex now is nicer.The same apartment we have now would be $4500 back where we are from,and my bf's condo was $5000 a month.A regular plain looking 3 bedroom home here can cost $100,000 or so,and back home the same would cost $1million.Oregon sounds like it's making its way to be close to california,in maybe a decade or so.

We moved from CA to OR over a year ago and haven't regretted it since. We love it out here. We live in Salem which is an hour south of Portland and is a lot less busy and more relaxing. We honestly don't really like going to Portland unless we have to we love it here in town. Housing is really affordable. We live in the nicer part of town in a 3bdr 3/12 bath plus bonus room for $2000 we also have a big nice size backyard. After both my husband and I being so cal born and raised once we moved here we knew this is where we were meant to be. It's so green and beautiful! We are so happy here!! 😊🌲

Oh and being from CA where majority of ppl are really rude I've never been around so many genuinely kind people. Everyone here is so friendly and nice it's quite refreshing!! Also the weather is nice. It does rain a lot but you get used to it and you really do get all 4 seasons out here which I absolutely love!!!! ☀️🍂☔️❄️
