Hi. I am newly pregnant maybe about 4-5 weeks. I haven't even been to a doctor yet. I was told I have to wait till I'm like 8-9 weeks. Anyway I have a lot of health problems and take a lot of medicines. One being Percocet for pain. I am trying not to take it but I am in so much pain I don't know what to do and I don't even have a doctor to ask yet. Any thoughts of taking Percocet this early on?

If you take the Percocet regularly, I would contact your dr and ask their advice, it could also be dangerous to stop cold turkey if it's something you take daily or every other day. Better safe than sorry and give them a call
As painful as it is I wouldn't take it until I got an ok from the doc
the Ovia app also has a list of medications that are safe to take during pregnancy as well as a list of foods that are safe and ones that aren't. It's a lifesaver when you're questioning everything lol congratulations by the way!

I have an appointment for just a blood test but 3 different offices said I have to wait till the 8-9 weeks. I just cried 🙄 hormones lol but thanks ladies I am at a loss of course I don't want to do the wrong thing
I would call the doctor and make an appointment. Even if they don't take you til 8 or 9 weeks you can still make an appointment. They might even take you sooner! Then you can be transferred to the nurse and ask that question. There is a list of medications pregnant people are and aren't allowed to use. I'm not sure where Percocet falls.
Acetaminophen is safe in pregnancy. the concern IMO would be the withdraw more so. I would take the least amount possible.
i never heard of docs making u wait til 9 weeks. with both of my children i started prenatal care at 4 weeks
