hey ladies I have a question for moms with gestational diabetes! so I was told that all moms with gestational diabetes end up getting induced at 40 weeks if we don't have the baby at 39 weeks since we can have stillborns is this true do we get induced also van I ask for another ultrasound to see how big baby is?

I'm sorry I do not know about the diabetes. but depending on how far along you are, you can ask for another ultrasound definently

I had uncontrolled GD and was induced at 38 weeks. My dr never mentioned the risk of a stillborn only the risk that my baby may need insulin when he was born due to high sugar levels. Also I was induced because GD babies tend to be a bit bigger than regular babies. He was fine, no sugar problems and he was 8# 9 oz.
