I asked my dr at an appointment she said she does it as long as there's no complications... but I read that you have to constantly remind them because they're so use to just cutting the cord right away.

I did! But I had a midwife that is used to not cutting the cord until after it's done pulsating. We kept my placenta in a bowl and she explained to us how everything worked because we were curious

My midwife discussed it with us when we made up my birth plan. Our hospital actually does the delayed cord clamping automatically we found out.

My doctor and hospital was down and offered to wait until the cored stopped pulsing... of course it all depends on the circumstances. I was so tired and in pain from natural birth and getting stitched up I was just happy it was over and didn't care what they did down there

You'll want to bring it up before hand, and make sure your support person knows and will speak up for you when it's time.
