Has anyone else thought about placenta encapsulation? I'm booking to have mine encapsulated but I never have had it before. I'm hoping it can reduce the incidence of PPD which hospitalised me after my fourth as it was so severe. This time I'm willing to try anything other than sitting groggy on loads of pills struggling with a newborn.

I think something is wrong with the app at the moment I did answer but it wouldn't allow me to post @suzie80 x

Let's try again, yes I heard it has many benefits, and I'm currently looking into it as we speak. I shall ask my midwife about this. Would be interesting to see if anyone here answers the post Hun x

My consultant pretended she knew nothing about it and said speak to the midwife lol but the lady that does it here collects from my hospital frequently for ladies but apparently they don't like releasing the placentas and are difficult. She said its my property and they may ask me to sign a disclaimer. It's 160 pounds but lots of women rave on about its benefits for milk supply reduced bleeding and improved mood. Everything thinks I've done insane. But I've never been one for these sorts of things but pumping my body with medications and it passing through my milk surely has to be worse. I can't feed baby for so many hours after taking the meds and means combined feeding at night. And the meds make me sleep heavy. So I figure if this can help its all good and if not then I waste 160 pounds. But I'll be wasting far more if I have to employ a night nanny to help.
