My mom's dad did that for my older brother the verdict was he had to drive down which he lived 4 hours away to pick him up and drop him off i believe it was once or twice a month

my sons only 3

Oh god I could see my biological mother trying this. I haven't spoken to her in almost a year. Can they even do that? Do they have any legal rights regarding that?
