You can fix yourself food. Baby has you.
You can sleep when tired or entertain yourself when bored. Baby has you.
You're the whole world to your baby. You're their comfort, their safety, their protection.
They're BABIES. NOT miniature adults. This phase is fleeting so do what feels right to get through. Everything in life, INCLUDING life, is so temporary. Don't go through it, EXPERIENCE it. ❤

@nicemmcha2015, sometimes people seem to forget that 2 or 3 weeks of living is NOT enough time to know when to eat or sleep or poop. We rush them to be born, then we rush them to grow up, then we cry about it all. Humans suck.

@tayek, you're so so right. people expect them to be born and be 100% independent almost instantly. I tell people look, this baby had been held by you for 38+ weeks. then it got ripped out, thrown around, touched by strangers, made to wear clothes and a diaper in this new cold environment. give the poor thing time to figure stuff out. hold it. love it. idk what your beliefs are but I tell people these babies aren't really ours. God only gives them to us for a little while. they are his to take back anytime he wants.
