The paraguard is an IUD. Any birth control that has hormones can make you gain weight, I had the nexplanon and gained a ton of weight from it.

Yep. any with hormones have the possibility of making you gain weight. paragard is the only hormone free one that I know of, which is what I'm getting.

some people say the depo shot. I was on it for Three years and I didn't gain. I think it just affects everyone differently.

Any with hormones have this possibility, though it doesn't happen every time. The only one I knowof without hormones is Paragard
