I am so scared to be checked for dilation 😖 all I hear are horrible things about it.

i say the only horrible thing is the pressure feeling you get.oh and the doc saying your not dilated

@octobermama96, depending on the doctor i know when i went to l&d the male doctor was so rough i almost kicked him..and my regular ob she's gentle when she does it

I didn't think it was bad at all. Just a bit of pressure, but not even that much.

It doesn't bother me, more pressure than anything.

depends on the Dr. its weird sometimes it hurts and others it doesn't. my OB was gentle and the Dr at L&D was rough but its not that bad honestly...

hurts more when your in actual labor then just a regular check.

it's not bad..I was checked from 30 weeks on...and I have a dividing wall in my vagina so it's a bit more difficult to find my cervix. now it does depend on the dr. because when I went into labor a nurse checked me & she was so rough she made me bleed every time she checked. she hurt. a man is normally more gentle. my OB never made me bleed!!

It was uncomfortable/painful for me for sure, but it's nothing compared to labor and it doesn't last that long. When they do it while you're in labor, now that really sucks. Mine may have been worse than normal though, I have a posterior cervix.
