@meme2393, whenever you want you can switch to a convertible. the recommendation is to keep them rear facing two or longer. I'd recommend the graco extend2fit. I switched my daughter just recently she's 6 months
@mommyofaprincess220, Bryson is 4 months but he is sitting up in his car seat and he is so long I was think it was time to get him out lol. But I didn't know if he was still too small or not he is 16 pounds

when the baby grows out of it. I believe it's typically 20 lbs or 30 inches, which ever comes first.

for a convertible they can go in them when a newborn just have to be rear facing @meme2393
