if you get an epidural before they put it in you won't feel it. they take it out before you push and you'll be a little sore from it for a day or two but it's not awful like I said a little sore. if you have a c section they keep it in until you're comfortable enough to get up and walk to the bathroom yourself
No. It's uncomfortable to get put in, but not painful at all. I even had to get one a couple hours after childbirth due to me having complications, and it still didn't hurt. That's with internal and external stitching.

I had mine put in while I had the epidural so it didn't bother me I forgot it was there

Depends on who does it I guess. I didn't feel it at all the two times I had mine put in 👍🏽
