At what point did you throw in the towel with breastfeeding? I tried while I was at the hospital and had 3 different lactation consultants tell me I wasn't getting a good latch because my nipples were too short so I switched to pumping. Gradually over the last few weeks I'm down to only getting 1oz every time I pump so I began to supplement with formula. I added in fenugreek but it's made no difference. I want my son to have breast milk but I'm thinking it's just not going to happen anymore and I'm somewhat disappointed in myself that I'm not producing like I should.

the LCs should've been there for you. it's crucial to pump every 2 to 3 hours to maintain a decent supply. make sure your membranes on your pump are good and also try latching baby often.. flat nipples don't mean anything.. nipple shields are made for that. don't feel bad. join Expressions Lactation Services on Facebook. it's how I was successful with my ebf journey. 6mo strong

They gave me 1 nipple shield while I was in the hospital but I'm out of work so I couldn't afford anymore. I'll add the Facebook page and try to pump more. Thank you for the tip. @gypsy.soul2

Did you have a tough delivery? I did with my daughter and I barley got milk. With my son i had a csection and I get a ton. The doctor told me sometimes with hard or traumatic delivery your body is kind of in shock and won't produce. If you can't, it's ok! People give you such shit when you don't breastfeed. Just find a plan B that works for you.

I guess it could be considered a tough delivery I was in labor for 12 hours and developed a fever and severe shaking. They gave me antibiotics and had to keep my baby in nicu for 4 hours before he was transferred to my room. @yaybeard
