I started buyin diapers and other necessities as soon as I found out! Big stuff like the crib, stroller and etc I waited til Black Friday. It helped so much!! I didn't have to buy formula for a month and didn't have to buy diapers til she was 4 almost 5 months and still haven't bought bath stuff or rash cream!! The trick is to shop around for sales and stock up! Even now I only get my stock pile down to two weeks left then I'll buy more for another month or two and not worry about it! Like I have 6 weeks of formula and 3 weeks of diapers but since the diapers are on sale a baby r us I'll be stocking up until it's over! Which will last until I need to buy formula again.
Lol my grandma and aunts said the same thing but the way we saw it was if anything were to happen we would either hold onto the diapers or donate them to a family in need. Plus for us it saved a lot of money because it was only like $40-60 per paycheck that would be missing before the baby was here compared to shelling out $100-150 a week. We saved probably about $300 on Black Friday and we bought all the big items we needed because we didn't plan on getting much from a babyshower and it all matched! @padilla2018
I buy all my diapers and wipes mainly from Amazon. I have prime so I get it 20% off then huggies and pampers releases 30% off coupons every two months. So I get them 50% off of the huge 50$ boxes.
Like these two boxes and box of wipes I only paid $48 for. They just had their sale a week or so ago so probably in 2 months they will again.
As soon as I found out, but I'm doing cloth diapering if I wasn't doing cloth I probably would have waited and only got a couple boxes of different brands because you never know what the baby may be allergic to or which diapers may work best for you

@shelbyjo, i am about 8.5 weeks and my mom said "it's too soon". ugh! lol. Did you save a lot of $$ by buying the big stuff on black friday?
