totally unacceptable that i was waiting all day yesterday for the widwife up until 7 in the night and no one turned up, to be told just now on the phone by the midwife unit that she did knock but no-one answered im absolutely livid!!! i was looking out my window when i heard a car coming up the street, and she didnt come!! its absolutely disgusting! ive been waiting nearly a week for an appointment!! if she knocked then i would have answered or she should have rang me like they normally do!! im gunna rip someones head off if they say the wrong thing to me today so pissed off!!

Why don't you try to arrange going to a clinic or Drs to see your midwife? xxx

in my area they do the first visit in your home because its only for like 10-15 minute's, i 100% know that she didnt come because i didnt hear no knock all day i even turned the volume down on the tv so i could hear the door, my daughters 8 months old and when i was having her my old midwifes would either ring me or leave a card through the post to rearrange but yesterday i had nothing!! im so angry @daisysmummy xxx

It's funny how different areas do things so different. I never had anyone come to my house until after baby was born. By the sounds of it would be much easier that way! Their often late to those as well @jordllew

My very first midwife appointment lasted over an hour by the time we filled in all the paperwork etc, we don't get home visits until 36 weeks +

did it? @mummyto1soon2be2 when i was pregnant last year with my daughter she came asked me some questions and filled the book then left was literally there for like 10-20 minutes, its different everywhere x

Yeah filled in all the paperwork she needed, chose my hospital, done a sample, took blood, weighed me, and took my height discussed the birth of my son so she could note that, went through changes to hospitals and got my bounty pack x

they do home visits in my area now too before baby is born and they only stay for around half an hour x
