had my baby girl yesterday at 1:24pm 4lbs 8oz 17 inches :) she is a preemie..... I've been pumping since last nightish I only get very little on the suction cups.... is this normal and when will I be able to produce more? first time mom here

it's normal. it's just colostrum right now..my breast milk took like 3 days to come in & she lived on my colostrum just fine until then...their stomachs are like the size of a cherry or something & your baby's is smaller I'd imagine.

so I shouldn't beat myself up about it? @nicemmcha2015 bc I feel like a failure :( bc she's getting formula I tried expressing my breasts like the consultant told me to I got one spoon full the entire day and I can't get anymore
