Took Xavier to see his doctor yesterday because I've been noticing his belly button protruding further and further outward the older he's getting (and even more so when he cries)... As it turns out, he's got an "Umbilical Hernia"......

"An umbilical hernia occurs when the stomach muscles don't join completely and the intestine or other tissues bulge through this weak spot around the belly button (umbilicus). About 20 percent of babies are born with an umbilical hernia. Umbilical hernias are generally painless and don't cause any discomfort".
