okay guys there comes to a point where you have to research things for yourself to learn about your pregnancy. You can't just hop on an app and ask a bunch of questions and get answers from random people you really need to research things and understand things for yourself too... especially if you're a first-time mom.! don't get butthurt I'm a ftm too. I just do my research......

Maybe some do both.

@jumimom oh yeah definitely. and I'm not referring to everyone. but I can definitely tell that there's a good portion that do not.

Sometimes it's so generic online, I did both so I could hear more real life not so robot answers from women I know and my online support groups. It's just nice to have that, you know?

Credible medical books are really helpful! I'm not sure how some ladies don't buy those right up front. I had books delivered to my house within days of finding out I was pregnant! I wouldn't trust 95% of people to give me advice.

@claudiajoy yea I understand. I'm directing this post more towards the people who frequently look for answers from other people without trying to answer any questions themselves. I've seen some basic simple common knowledge being asked on here when it could have been found out with a Google search or something that they should have learned from their doctor weeks or months ago that's my point. I'm just a very self taught person and when I'm going through something I research it extensively and then I go and get my real life stories from other people. and it's just beneficial for people to be able to research things and learn things for themselves as well.

@cubanese yessssss
Kenitra·
@cubanese, sigh. Surprisingly I get less frustrated by these people now than I used to. I'm like do some reading in real medical books. Ask your doctor questions. Look at some credible sites online! It's amazing that some of these people can keep a human baby alive 😂

@cubanese yessss.! that question you are referring to is what prompted this post because to me it's just like how do you not know what colostrum is.???. and yeah I hate it when people use being a first-time mom as an excuse too because then it just makes us all look bad and ignorant. and I'm a first-time mom and I've been giving people advice about breastfeeding and products and stuff like that when I haven't done it myself yet but it to me it's like common sense and research along with talking to your other mom friends and your doctor.
Kenitra·
@cubanese, @reyesmomma I'm a first time mom and I didn't know anything about breastfeeding really. But I have talked to my friends that have breastfed/are breastfeeding, have several books on the topic, have taken BF classes and have a Lactation consultant and clinic info ready if I need it! And my OB asked me if I was breastfeeding last appointment. I learned a TON in the classes. And they sent home info with us! The info is out there but it's like people can't take the time to find out. We are all busy. You have to make time!

I always want to tell women that but I hate to be rude to people that I don't know 😑 but seriously just LOOK IT UP! They ask instead of going online and getting a full understanding about their issue...if that doesn't work that I would ask an in-call nurse....no need to ask...

@cubanese you literally made me lol hahahahahahahaha.! 😂😂😂😂
and yes I really want to take classes too.! @kenitra

@cubanese, @reyesmomma My sister got pregnant (unplanned/accident) when she was 24 or 25. Literally the first thing we did was go to the library and check out lots of books. Because neither of us knew a damn thing about babies.

@happyamy yeah I try to say things without being rude but I'm just too feisty and can't help it and my mouth is just too big I can admit it lol

@happyamy but seriously people need to look that s*** up. and I've noticed that when I give people that response that hey you should just look it up they get pissed I haven't gotten it so much on this app but on other apps when you just like tell people just look it up they get all pissy and bitchy and stuff. it's just like hey they should have taught you in high school how to properly research things and be able to tell whether or not they came from a legitimate source.

So true @reyesmomma!

see I'm in here because I'd rather ask people on here and hear from some real who could have gone through it then read online from something that may be incorrect. everything online told me I was haven a miscarriage but I came on here and ask a couple questions and couple lady's were nice enough to tell me whay I was going through was normal. I am a first time mom of try for 4 years. and I'd rather get advice from other moms or pregnant people then read something wrong online. this app is here to help people. not for people to put them down.
