I mean is it just normal for a baby to have an "upper respiratory infection" for 4 weeks. From the beginning I religiously used baby rub on his chest and feet, gave him vapor baths daily or every other day at the least, used saline spray and nose Frieda/ bulb multiple times a day, used humidifier with frankincense every night, raised the head of our bed to an incline, put frankincense on a cloth under the sheets by his head, sat in the bathroom when it was steamy from letting the shower run on hot, BASICALLY EVERYTHING IN THE BOOK. We've been to the ER twice where they couldn't have given less of af about him because he wasn't running a 200 degree fever and bleeding out on the table. His doctor prescribed him a steroid about 3 weeks ago now and he was on that for 3 days. It seemed to help some but he's still so congested and he can't even nurse or use his pacifier because he can't breathe, and I can tell it's very uncomfortable for him because he wakes up all night long other than to nurse just because he doesn't feel good. It's been a month y'all, when the hell is this supposed to go away?! I've talked with his doctor after the steroid treatment explaining how he still was congested and hoarse/ coughing etc. she just said to watch for fever and things of that nature. I'm so sick now, have been for a few days and I guess I got it from him. The one solution I've been given is t give him Benadryl and I don't understand why you'd make a baby who is already having trouble breathing even more drowsy?

my son had the same thing when he was about that age and they had him doing breathing treatments. it took a little over a month to go away with constant treatments and medicine. maybe request to go to a specialist if youre concerned.

Honestly I have the same problem with my son. He's just so congested all the time. He's been like this for about a month now too. The humidifier in his room at night seemed to help a little but not completely. I stopped using the bulb to suck his nose since I read it can irritate the nose lining and his was bleeding. But still he is congested. Otherwise he acts fine, no fever, eats normally so I'm wondering the same. 😕

I asked about the breathing treatments, I may call back and ask about one. It just worried me ya know. I don't want it to turn into something worse 😕 @roche.mommy6435 and @jacesterlingsmommy yeah I haven't been suctioning his nose for about a week or 2 now bc it's not even in his nose really anymore it's so far back I can't get anything out and so it's pointless. Ughh I don't know what to do.

@babyjjsmommy, yeah i understand that. they told me he had rsv when i took him to the hospital. it didnt help my mind because when my son was born he needed oxygen so it scared me too. its not fun when baby is in distress like that.

I suggest ato see a specialist. My friend's daughter had the same issues and it turn out that she has asthma. Hope your baby gets better!
