@leigh-amyxo, just the same as over feeding yourself. If you eat too much for your stomach to handle you'll throw up, same goes for babies X x

@leigh-amyxo, I wouldn't think so, could check with your GP but I imagine it might just cause excessive wind & some vommiting, doubt anything long term xx

I'm sure the odd time wouldn't cause much affect other than them being sick if they've had too much. I guess the important thing is to try not to over feed them...

well Dylan is on 4/5 bottles a day and has lunch and sometimes a bit of porridge if he gets up early enough, he's coming up to 18 weeks now @sara-lou , surely he wouldn't take it if he didn't want it?xx
Sara-Louise·
Well I can't speak from personal experience as I didn't wean until 5/6months. I'd definitely just be careful what your giving him as your weaning before recommended guidelines. Usually when babies first start weaning they just have one meal a day alongside their bottles. As the others have said speak to a health visitor for more info when you take him to baby clinic & they can help.

Baby's will usually lose interest in the food once they are full or be sick which has been said. I'd say stick to bland food as rich foods could make there tummy ache as he is young

My HV told me they like to get as close to 6 months as possible?
Sara-Louise·
Guidelines are 6months @leigh-amyxo but definitely not earlier than 17weeks.

You can't Iver feed a baby on formula as they won't take it if there full and if they do they'll just throw it up that won't lead to any complications at all don't worry about that but weaning before 17weeks is abit risky but all babies are different and want extra feed before they reach that age :)
