@itty-bitty22, okay well at first they check yours and baby's vitals, insert an IV line for pain meds and whatnot. then your ob should come in and talk to you answer any questions you have, then they wheel you to the OR your significant other can't come in until they have however you chose to be numbed, I went with a spinal block, after all that is done they lay you down pull up the curtain and call in your SO, after that is done doctor pretty much comes in, cuts you open and takes out the baby. I felt some pressure as my baby came out, but it last literally 5 seconds.
@itty-bitty22, afterwards they put you in recovery and let you see and hold your baby. when in your room they'll go over care instructions, and if you're up to it they'll have you start walking.
They're going to numb you in the back and then they start prepping for surgery. For me once that numbing medicine kicked in I felt nothing. They cut you open and take the baby and everything else out. They stitch you up and that's really it. In my opinion that was the easy part. The hardest part was healing. It's major abdominal surgery. You wanna make sure you take your medicine and don't miss a beat. TRUST ME. If you have to cough or sneeze press a pillow against your incision. Rest up with your feet up as much as you can. It took me about 6-8 weeks to feel better. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

i was the same way....i went 24 hours trying natural but ended with a csection.....u know ur body and how much u can take...keep ur mind open to both. the dr will advise u if the best way will be a csection
I was definitely nervous and I swear as hubby and I were walking into the hospital for our scheduled c-section I wanted to run out! It wasn't bad though. I'd do it again the exact same way. The only thing is it's hard on my body. Recovering from surgery was no joke. For me I was overweight at the time. I got all the way up to 186 lbs. I think maybe the smaller you are recovery might be easier. I'm now 153 lbs thank God lol.
