Im so tired my alomst 3 year old had a bad dream and woke up at 330 crying like crying so bad he couldnt breath or talk. he calmed down some and i asked him whats wrong he said We were walmart and you left me all by myself and a man hit me in the head. Idk what it is but lately he has alot of dreams of me leaving him. I have been a stay at home mom since righit after his 1st birthday. I never leave him where has this fear come from?

I just read an article about night terrors in toddlers. It says the peak onset is about 3 years old. They start to have horrible dreams where they wake up sweating, crying & screaming.

he has never had night terrors but lately its at least once a week and always the same thing he says i left him and he was scared. i wouldnt say he sweats from the dreams he has always sweat in his sleep but the crying and screaming is right. @queenof3

@mommyofallboys671, I guess the only thing you can do is comfort him. Does he have a night light in his room. That might help.

yea and our dog sleeps with him( she is a tea cup Chihuahua). i usually have to hold him and let him know mama aint going to leaving him for a while then he will go back to sleep but not by himself i have to lay in his bed or he has to lay in mine.
