I'm so worried. Today was the first day that my son didn't have a fever (he has rsv and has had a high fever since Monday). I was so excited until I started seeing little red patches and bumps slowly spreading from his face, down his neck, and covering his torso in a matter of 20 minutes. I called his pediatrician and she said it's a mixture between a viral infection and a allergic reaction. Now he hasn't had anything new, nothing has changed in the last day so is the allergic reaction from the viral infection? At this point he's covered. It's all over his torso, legs and even little private parts and his butt. We were given benadryle but I hate seeing him either suffer or be knocked out from the medicine. Does anyone know how long this will last?

I had an allergic reaction to the viral infection that I had. Right after the fever broke, hives came.

@dijahhh alright a week isn't too bad. thanks so much. I'm going out of my mind with worry. I've never seen a hives that bad on him or me. I panicked for a bit lol

Lol, totally normal. I would freak too! I just know that I was absolutely miserable when I had the infection. I lost A LOT of weight because I couldn't eat for a few days. Then, at church, I was scratching tf outta my foot like WTF is wrong with me 😂 doc says, oh you had an allergic reaction to your viral infection so you have hives. So bad. Lol
