Do you think the older the kids get the cheaper they are? or they are more expensive ad they get…

The younger they are the more expensive because they need way more attention than a child who can do more stuff on their own.

I would think more expensive. . .you may not spend it on daycare BUT they'll still be in activities, more clothes & shoes, food, school supplies, field trips, entertainment, etc. but I don't have older kids either. Just younger siblings & all of that is hella expensive!

Oh no, they get expensive lol! I have a 7yr, almost 5yr, 3yr, almost 2 yr and 2 week old.

My older two require school uniforms(both are girls) so that comes with leggings, different shoes to match, jewelry, bows, etc. I spent $60 on leggings just the other day 😆 then as they get older they are gonna want makeup, purses, all the trendy clothes. Trust me, it adds up quick.

I would think its about the same honestly because you substitute one expense for another? Depends if the kid/children is in after school activities or what the school does/requires during the year

@dang_dridri, yes you are correct!!! My 3 year old started tball this year and his gear was over $200 😒

Not to mention year books(which are not cheap btw), school pictures, spirit shirts and jackets from school... Ugh it's terrible. I spent 65$ on one jacket and tshirt from school. Fundraisers, Girl Scouts, gymnastics... Lawd we going broke over here with all these kids and activities lol

@halsey11, yeah I know. I come from a family of 9 kids & we were all busy. My parent could easily spend $1,000+ on just me in one month. It's ridiculous, parenthood = broke for at least another 18 years. Lol

@dang_dridri, we just had our fifth baby about two weeks ago so I can only imagine how expensive it's going to get once they are all in school. We don't spend much on the babies tbh. I'm a sahm so no daycare cost, we breastfeed, shampoo/lotions/diaper/wipes aren't much. Kids are as expensive as you make them 😆 mine are privileged little butts. But they are very respectful and sweet as well. So I guess it's all in how you raise them. @mcrowell0970

@dang_dridri but some people pay for daycare and still enroll their kids into tother activities as well still clothes and shoes but with babies every 3 months they need a new wardrobe... Im not saying older kids are cheap period. you may have to buy uniform but how many do you actually have to buy in a year.I'm sure that doesn't cost more then daycare @halsey11 of course teens can ask for things they want all the time but I just don't see them getting $500 worth of things they want each month.. maybe your kids but not mine.. I can't afford that... @halsey11 yea and your son is 3 which means he still can go to daycare PLUS those after school or extra curricular activities @mcrowell0970 I totally agree. you can bargain with your older children..I can't bargain with 1k for daycare. Kids grow through clothes fast too. My little brother just went through 2 shoe sizes this summer alone, so the shoes my mom though he would be able to wear this school year, he couldn't fit so she had to buy MORE shoes. & I wish we were rich. Lol. It just goes so fast & in so many places you won't even notice what you spent until it's gone. Like I brought my younger siblings school supplies this year, it's just two on them still in school that actually need "supplies". GIRL! I wanted to cry. I was like WTF!? 😒 I started taking things off the supplies list myself. Lol 😂

@sexii_diiva, girl yeah. The school was playing too much! They don't need 2 boxes of Kleenex, they don't need Kleenex period! Y'all got FREE tissue. DUH! I was getting so mad about the list I was literally throwing the shit in the cart. 🙄😂
