I don't want to start any arguments or fights but I do want to know opinions on circumcision... please don't comment if you are going to be rude and if you don't have a son or aren't having a son I don't want to hear your opinion either because you don't/haven't had to make the decision and in my opinion it isn't an easy one.

I let my husband decide. Even though he isn't he wishes he was and we had our son circumcised. Every man that I know that isn't wishes they were and I have one friend that painfully got it done at 18.

i let my man decide, i did tons of research and my family didnt agree with my decision but i strongly agree with what he wanted for his son. there are pros and cons but in the end, you can get infected with either...ones just more of a stay on top of kind of thing.

I never liked the idea of making a decision like that for my child who cannot speak. I don't find it necessary and especially against it after watching the procedures being done on youtube. my baby is perfect how I made him.

if you are born with something it means you need it for a reason. I cleaned my sons penis until he turned 3, officially out of diapers for a while. I taught him to clean himself while in the shower. he just turned 4 and is doing a good job so far while I monitor him.. my bf isn't circumcised and neither of us have a problem with it (6years and 2 kids later lol)

this is what I have found. I hate the idea of causing my son pain but I also don't want him to have a "weird" Penis or get an infection and cause him more pain in the long run from infection by not getting it done

@rachayrn theres no solid argument for or against circumcision. its totally up to you and what you think is best! we can give you our opinions but its all up to you.

i mean in the end. it is your decision i just figured if you put dedication into it and stick with it, it wobt get infected. the reason penises get infected because people arent educated on what to do,daily. or just think its the same cleaning process. with my son for the first three years of my sons life i did everything by myself. if i wouldve known i was going to be a single mother for that long i wouldnt of kept him uncircumcised to be completely honest but i stuck through it and i can say at least one time when he was 2 or so he got infected but i asked questions an kept on top of it and it went away. now he is three he washes his privates. he is potty trained and i am here to walk him through every step.

my son is circumcised. I'm a lab tech and have had an infected foreskin come down to be plated for bacteria before, but the decision is yours and yours only to make

it's extremely unnecessary even my doctors in the hospital told me so...I did lots of research you can also watch the YouTube video called "an elephant in the hospital" it's up to you at the end once you've done your research and stuff :)

The decision is up to you guys as parents. I'm circumcising my son. I've heard of way too many men get infections later in life. And the foreskin just cause too many hygiene issues.

This was a hard decision for me as well and then I came to the conclusion that I don't have a penis and never will. So I let my husband make the decision. He is circumcised but decided not to circumcise our son. And I am fine with that. In my opinion boys are made that way for a reason and they shouldn't have to have any kind of unnecessary surgery done at birth. And for the bacteria/infection part about it I feel that anyone can get infections down there if proper hygiene isn't applied. But in the end it's yours and the baby's fathers decision to make and no one else's. Don't let anyone pressure you into something you don't agree with.

my son is now getting it doe at almost five. he is autistic and won't let me clean it. the doctor said its better to get it done bc it can get infected and more likely to get cancer if uncircumcised.

@kaseylyn, I think I will just tell my husband that the decision is 100% his! I don't like the idea of deciding.

@rachayrn, yeah I'm with you there. It was too difficult for me and like I said I don't have a penis lol so I don't really know what's best when it comes to that. I felt that it was the right decision to let my husband decide. 😊👍🏻

And honestly it's something they can't come back from they can always get circumcised later in life if it's something they truly decided they wanted once they were old enough. But once it's gone it's gone. Here's a great article about it.
