At what point did you ladies introduce a pacifier to your newborn?

My boys were given their pacifiers at 3 days old in the hospital, that's what they used to soothe them during their circumcision.

I gave my daughter one at a day old and she didn't care for it at first

Nylah didn't get one till like a week or two after she was born. I wanted to make sure she got the hang of breastfeeding down first

My daughter day one was trying to suck her thumb so I fed her and then she still went for the thumb so in went the paci

I didn't get to, the hospital stuck it in her mouth before they were even done stitching me up

@mdomke22, Thank you! I think I'll do that so she doesn't get confused.

@brinnersmommy20, hospital did the same to me..took her from my room to draw blood, brought her back and it was in her mouth. like, I get you wanted to soothe her, but next time bring her back to me to do it. pacifier caused so many problems with her learning to latch properly :/

the pacifier confuses my baby girl. I'm trying not to let her have it unless I just can't soothe her.

@jesscami, @heatherlg88 Yeah I think I'm going to hold off on giving my baby a pacifier because I already having to use a nipple shield since my nipples are small I guess and I don't want to confuse her.
