You can get some breast pads to help. Hopefully it means you will be blessed with plenty of Milk for your little one.

@egaylep2, yay that's wonderful since I was planning on breast feeding and I'll look into getting breast pads. and thank you and you too @cubanese should I think of getting a breast pump yet or just wait. till the baby is here?

pumping cause your uterus to contract so unless you want to go into labor I would wait. Plus most Insurance now help pay for a Breast pump.

@cubanese, is right... @jessgnov I lactated my whole pregnancy and breastfed but I never produced much and dried up. I exculusivly pumped every two hours because she had trouble latching and then started refusing to latch I made it to like 3-6 weeks.

@jessgnov, Definitely! You could have a killer supply or a not so great one. whether you lactate or not it doesn't determine supply. I was stressed a lot with personally issues so that probably contributed to my supply dropping. Good luck! Don't worry about it too much!

Yeah, it does sound like your colostrum came in early. Some women lactate early. I didn't until after my son was born. My supply is outrageous. I started pumping about 3 weeks after he was born to start saving s supply for when I go back to work. If you have insurance, the base models are covered and if you want an upgraded model (which I got) you just pay the cost difference. I pump in the morning after he's done eating and some times at night. Always pump afterwards though or your body will think it's another feeding and will produce more milk. I pump an average of 3-4 oz out of each breast after he's done eating. I am very fortunate to be producing a lot of milk. I have a really good eater!!

@rgold763, I see thank you I will be going back to school and work eventually so I guess when I get a pump I'll start pumping to save up supply if I'm able to and it didn't make you go into labor early you know pumping early?

@jessgnov, I did not pump until 3 weeks after he was born. I've never heard of anyone pumping before delivery
