Super long rant!!
So my brother got married and was only married for a year before they got a divorce. When he tried to leave on night she called the cops and told them that he threatened to shoot her and a bunch of bullshit that wasn't true. They took him to jail where he spent two week before court. At court they dropped everything, but told him right in front of her that he needed to stay away from her or next time he'd be in prison bc of her. Well they gave him supervised visits with his son that eventually led to him getting to keep him every weekend. My brother was doing so good had started back to church an everything. Well he was at work one day and we had his son. He got sick so we took him to the ER. His ex wife Ashley showed up and then my brother showed up shortly after. Me and my mom decided to go home bc we had been there all day. That night my brother came to the house and got Levis medicines to take to Ashley. He was gone a few hours. A couple days past and Scott packed his stuff AGAIN and went back to her, not even three weeks later and they were married AGAIN! Well about a week ago she told him she wanted a divorce, so of course me and my mother helped pack all his shit AGAIN! Since he's been home he's been in such a better mood and much happier. Well she said she wasn't going to allow us to see Levi until they go back to court again and then she decided she would allow my brother to see him for two hours a week but she had to be there and they had to meet somewhere. Well since their still married and there's no papers in place my brother would legally be allowed to take Levi and keep him until court. She then decided to change her mind and not let my brother see Levi because I called and talked to a cop about some stuff she was filling my brothers head with. So Scott said fine and that he would wait until they went to court. Well she keeps running her mouth about our whole family and even tried accusing my brother of stealing a damn thermometer. &&I she's also been hanging/seeing the father to her first son since my brother moved out, but she called my brother out of nowhere yesterday wanting him to come back. &&I this morning divorce papers were delivered to the house for him and in the papers she put that she doesn't want Scott to ever see Levi, and all kinds of shit.
&& that dumbass is still considering going back to her! I just wish he would listen and just stay away from her. We have moved him in and out of that house so many times it's not funny. Even before they were divorced and all that bullshit.
She's also pregnant again and says its Scott's but even her "best friend" and everyone else has said that it's not. && Scott's dumbass doesn't want to get a dna test done!!
I love my brother to death, but I swear if he goes back this time I'm done with him.

I think your brother is under the impression that being together is better for Levi than being apart. So many people have that view, and it couldn't be more wrong! What's best for baby is a happy home life. Honestly, the best thing would be for him to leave her FOR GOOD, and be the best father he can be. Then Levi will grow only knowing love and support from his dad.

We've tried telling him that but he doesn't listen. Before he moved out this last time he told my mom he wanted to try and stay with her until Levi is old enough to pick who he wants to live with. He's only two right now, my brother would be miserable for like 8yrs before Levi would be old enough to pick. He'll learn the hard way I guess. @jennatess @queencplus2

Even the court won't allow a child to choose who they want to live with. That's just bad news. I feel bad for your brother. He's trapped in a crazy ladies trap! Maybe he could tell her into counseling?

They allow them to at the age of 10. My aunt went through this. She won't do counseling or nothing. All she does is use him until she gets what she wants then she'll throw him out for a week or so, so she can whore around and then she'll beg him to come back. They've did this so many times. She's literally crazy. One more he woke her up so they could get ready and get to church on time and out of no where she started screaming at him saying she hated him an all kinds of shit. @jennatess

@britt16, hm! I know that Illinois never lets the child pick. That gives them too much power, and it can give them a sense of terrible regret. I hope he can separate himself, but it may be best if he takes her to court. Does he has conversation(s) screen shots? Proof of how crazy she is?

@britt16, I'm sorry! That is definitely a sucky situation. Part of me wants to say "just support him and be there for him", but honestly im a harsh-love kind of person. I cut people off as soon as I'm done dealing with their crap.

We've been trying to support him, but it literally never works out with them. I'm done trying to be there for him just to see it all fall apart time after time again. No one will be able to make her happy. && I have nothing at all against people who have more than one kid at a young age, but she just did turn 21 her oldest will be 4 in December, Levi just turned 2 in July, and then a new baby on the way due in December. First two have different dads and possibly this new one also. She complains about Levi all the time saying how she can't handle him an everything. Her first son she has babied so much since he was born that he's gay and the new baby due is a boy. Her first son is her favorite. When she was pregnant with Levi she said she would never love him like or as much as she does Gunnar (the first one). It's so sad how she is. All she cares about is money and getting what she wants. @jennatess
