Honey a lot of working and income tax money. Pro bono workers do what you could just do yourself. We started off that route and got nothing accomplished judge didn't even take them serious I don't think. It's not cheap and sometimes all the money you pay isn't worth it all. Bc if stuff you can do yourself if you educate yourself on your state custody laws. We paid for so much unnecessary paperwork it was bad. They kept changing the court date it took a whole year to see a judge.

I found one that does it pro bono. the court gave me a list of programs that helps people find a lawyer.

We paid 450. An hour and that not including a retainer fee of 2,500. And you pay more for them to file paperwork then doing it yourself. By the end of the year we were up to a total of 10,500 in 6 months

I never got a lawyer. I showed up to the child support office & they did all the paper work.
