Little rant or mummy melt down! At the min my six year old is really playing me up! He is usually the politest and well behaved young man .. At the min he's acting up .. Shouting at me calling me mean and then the other day he smacked me! He isn't listening to anything am saying and then throwing paddys it's really draining me .. Me and his dad split up a few years ago and am engaged and having a baby with someone else and his dad has a new gf who's preg and he's always working meaning on his two days a week he has Kai he actually ain't having him he drops him at his mums.. Could this be effecting him .. Feels like he dotes on his dad and I'm getting all the hassle .. ?? 😩😩😩

That is probably it to be fair. He probably feels like his dad's passing him around but yet they're having another baby and in his mind he probably feels like with two more babies coming along that he won't be loved as much and won't have any time with dad. I'm not saying that's the case but my two kids went through something similar when I had two kids with another man after I split with their dad

@natzie86, I told his dad it was all to soon I mean he's just got with woman I've been with my fiancé nearly three years and good friends with him for over 12 .. It's horrible it's upsetting me now X x

It is upsetting and really hard but you need to stay constant with him and keep boundaries in place

We always take it out on those who we love the most. Its all probably a bit much for him at the moment x

My kids take it out on me, it's natural. Maybe talk to your son and reassure him etc

speak to his dad, my husbands son is the same good as gold for him but horrible for his mam cos he knew they never spoke so now she tells my hubby and when he's grounded there he's grounded here too, when he's been particularly bad mu hubby will talk to him and sort it out x

It's going to be difficult for any young child weather there happy or not about a new brother or sister my 6 yr old son is the same been playing up and just being really hard work even no he's excited about his sister. He has been through a lot and also lost his dad this year. No one can tell you how to deal with it I think every one finds there own way but I do agree even no they r young taking the time to talk to them is a massive help even if it takes some time for them to open up. There mind is very different to an adult and there way of dealing with things is to. No matter how bad or difficult they can be just keep reminding them that u love him weather he's naughty or not but also make sure he understands that behaviour is not ok. It's a struggle especially being pregnant. wish u all the best hunny ur not alone ❤
