i was just having a heart to heart with my mom about this the other day. I was saying that I thought being a married mom was way more difficult than being a single mom. I'm always relying on my hubby to get things done and he doesn't or in the process of doing so, makes more work for me. When you're a single mom you have your system and it works because no one is there to interfere. my husband isn't the emotionally supportive type which is what I thought the main difference would be as a married mother. nope. Marriage and relationships are work. A lot of work. But you have to find a love that you are willing to work and be vulnerable for.
**I do want to add that I was a single mama and my mom a single mom of 3 while achieving a PhD. In no way am I trying to demean the hard work single moms do! They kick butt!
@showersoverflowers, I know what you mean. Ive just seen so many married mothers in my life that are basically single mothers and personally i don't see the point of it. I guess I just prefer being alone than with someone
