With all due respect it is a bit weird for another man to call you babe. I wouldn't like another woman calling my man babe. Being friends is one thing. Pet names are another.. Just my opinion.

I think you should just let him know not to call you those things just out respect to your man. If he's a good guy and a real friend he'll understand.. I don't think your mans totally wrong here. He may seem insecure but not without reason. Try and be loving ❤️😋 and remind him that you're HIS babe.. Lol.

He may be from where that's normal but your SO isn't, and tbh you should care more what he thinks than what your friend thinks. I would have a talk with him about that because either way it is weird, especially calling you babe
