I have to do that with my first she never cried.

My daughter was a healthy 8 pound 14 ounce baby and I had to wake her to feed several times during the first couple weeks. My dr said to wake her every 3-4 hours to eat if she didn't wake up by herself to eat . She just recommended me to undress her to make her a little chilly so she'd wake up more to eat .

I did with my first but that's bc she was really sick and had to go back to the hospital but she Also medically complex

yes I did for the first 2 weeks cause she was a month early.
