If you don't have a great relationship with SO/hubby/family...don't expect them to run to you with open arms because you've got a baby. Trust me, it will STILL require work to be ok. Not the "I'm gonna force it because I need your presence/gifts/help" type of work. The genuine "I would like us to see eye to eye & have a better rapport" type of work. Plus THERE IS NO SHAME IN NOT DEALING WITH PEOPLE WHO DON'T MEAN YOU ANY GOOD. (I KNOW somebody's gonna come explaining and that's not what I'm going for.) Not everyone is gonna take to you or your little one. You'll have to teach this lesson later, so learn it.
