@newmommy123456, I was told I could eat low carb if I had it eat something. I chose not to eat. But I would go by the paper given to you from your doc. Water is good.

My test was at 12 I choose to eat 2 boiled eggs squash and beans for a late 10am breakfast also I had probably had 5 cups of water before the test which is pretty normal for me by noon. If they told u no food I wonder why to me u should eat something just a wise choice. Any veggie should be good stay away from fruit bc the sugar. Maybe carrots and celery that's mostly water.
If your office said no food, don't eat anything before the test. Mine said don't eat or drink anything before coming in. Mine does it because they test the fasting glucose as well as the glucose levels after the drink.

Nothing in particular. If you must eat...don't eat carbs. That's what I was told.
