I was 37 weeks when my doctor decided that it was safer to deliver my baby now rather then wait it out with my preeclampsia. I was scheduled to receive cervidil on Wednesday and be induced on Thursday. I got to the hospital at 8:30 Wednesday night. I didn't get into my room until 9:30. I was hooked up and checked and then the cervidil was placed in at 11:00. I had horrible back pain all through the night , didn't sleep at all! By 7:30am they checked me and took the cervidil out at 9:30 , I was 4cm. The doctor came in and told the nurses to set up for my epidural. And that's where the fun began. I was contracting every 2 mins. It took them 2 HOURS to try and get the epidural to work but it never ended up going into affect . The doctor was seconds away from sending me to the OR to have a c-section but at 12:00pm I felt the urge to push. I pushed 4 times and my princess came flying out at 12:20pm. My 5lb 7oz bundle of joy!
