I love when moms who exclusively formula feed wanna judge me for choosing breastfeeding. Last time I checked, breast milk was what is best for babies. Just because its cheaper than formula feeding doesnt make me a "cheap ass". Yeah im gonna save a little money, but im also gonna be feeding my child the best nature has to offer. Which is PROVEN to be better for him than ANY brand of formula. I dont understand what people dont get about that. Yes formula will provide your child with adequate nutrition, thats wonderful, but breastfeeding has other benefits that formula doesnt that I want to share with my child. I agree that a fed baby is the end goal no matter how you meet that goal, whether through formula or breastfeeding. But i dont need to hear that im "just trying to be better than other moms" or that by talking about choosing to breastfeed my child, that im shaming mothers who formula feed. No, swerve the hell out of here. Im gonna breastfeed because thats whats right for me and MY child. I couldnt care less what youre doing as long as your baby eats something. And im tired of hearing that im selfish for breastfeeding because my fiance cant feed the baby. Hes on board with it and couldnt be happier that i want to give my son the very best that I can to eat. And weve got other ways he can bond with the baby. Honestly whats selfish is not even trying breastfeeding even ONCE just because you heard that formula feeding is easier and you dont want to have to try.. Sorry Rant over! Im just irritated because everytime i say the word breastfeeding someone tells me im doing the wrong things, or trying to be better than everyone else. But honestly I just wanna feed my baby whats best for him, for HIS sake. But i guess that makes me selfish.

🙌🏽A fed baby is the end goal. BUT. Our boobs wouldn't leak if it wasn't what's best lol (not knocking formula fed babies though)

It's really not cheaper cause you have to eat healthy and to eat healthy is very expensive salute to you I hope that breastfeeding is easy for me

I got called a cheap ass by someone in a class i was taking because i mentioned that I was going to a breastfeeding class as well. she was all " Oh youre gonna be a cheap ass mom then. But you must me struggling money wise, you do know that WIC is a thing right? then proceeded to call me lazy and selfish for being a stay at home mom for my childs first 2 to 3 years. @cubanese

I don't see how your fiancé isn't able to feed the baby is an argument here. I mean, they make pumps so he would still be able to feed the baby. 🙄 I swear some people just have to have something to say when they know nothing about it. I breastfed and formula fed my first child and I regretted not being able to breastfeed her longer than I did. It seemed like she got sick a lot when I switched over to formula, and that was having her on Enfamil which her pediatrician told me was the best next to breast milk. I wanna breastfeed for as long as possible this time cuz like @cubanese said, you don't know wtf is in formula.....especially since the drug cartels have been using that as a way to smuggle drugs in to the country for decades.

@tratliffe, I think it's more expensive to eat junk who says it's expensive to eat healthy? Breast milk is best regardless and I don't see why any mom wouldn't want to. Unless a medical reason. God made us make milk for a reason. I agree with @cubanese formula moms try to say things so they feel better about what they feed their babies. Also insurance pays for in home lactation consultants so why would anyone not take advantage of that after paying lots of out of pocket for insurance.

@txyogagirl, I clearly agree my I don't think it's less expensive to breast or that mothers who breastfeed are cheap. it's plan to breastfeed as well I don't judge no mother on her choices for her child
